Why?
In about 2004 we began our
odyssey with a decision to
retire to southern Europe. By
2007 we were focusing on
Spain, for a number of
reasons. The concept was
simple enough. We had
discovered retirement VISAS,
a very straight forward
approach. The country allows
you to live there, so long as
you do not work in their
economy and are not a drain
on their welfare system.
What we discovered was not
quite that simple, almost
exclusively because of lack of
information. Virtually all of
our difficulties emanated from
this lack of clear information.
This should be straight
forward, but it is not.
Therefore, we have created
this site. As it is developed,
we will be creating a tool for
others.
